OZKP is quite fortunate in that we come across all sorts of interesting optics nearly every week, but it’s not every week we come across stuff that appears new in box. Before doing a first look, publishing the specs, and ultimately a field test, I wanted to document the unboxing of the Lyman 10X SL and showcase some of the items included when purchased as a reference for collectors and shooters alike. Enjoy!
Front and top of Lyman box. Relatively unassuming.
Item specifications, 10XSL and Dot are original. The others added throughout the years.
First look. Appears never mounted in rings. This particular example came with target external adjustments.
Warranty Card. Never even filled out by the original owner.
Windage/elevation adjustments and click value instructions.
Allen wrench still in place on the back of the instructions.
Operating Instructions, Page 1. Introduction, care and installation instructions.
Operating instructions, page 2. How to adjust the parallax and the reasoning for the externally adjustable parallax.
Operating instructions, Page 3. How to zero your new Lyman scope.
Operating instructions, page 5. This particular example sports a “Dot” reticle.
Operating instructions, front and back cover. The back page including specifications of Lyman models at the time of this print.
Thanks for reading, hopefully this helps aid continued research and documentation of the Lyman All-American series of scopes for years to come. Feel free to contact us if you wish to contribute to future articles or have any additional thoughts or questions. Cheers!
